BENEFIT FOR ENGINE 22 LADDER 13 FIREFIGHTERS FAMILY FUND RAISES ALMOST $2500 AS WELL AS THE SPIRITS OF NEIGHBORHOOD CROWD.
Every day, the firefighters of Engine 22 Ladder 13 are there for us.
On October 21,2001, an all-star comedy lineup and an enthusiastic crowd were there for them. Scott Blakeman organized and hosted the two and a half hour show that
featured Lewis Black, Colin Quinn, George Wallace, Todd Barry, Dave Konig
and Dan O'Connor.
The show raised almost $2500, and in addition, Caroline Rhea, who was
unable to perform due to a scheduling conflict, pledged a generous donation.
Everyone in the audience received a list of the names of the nine heroes
who lost their lives saving lives at the World Trade Center, under the heading:
"You will always be our heroes. And we will never forget you."
